New Members info

At Loreto we love getting new members into the club and our aim is to make playing hockey as enjoyable as possible for everyone while developing players to the best of their ability. It can be daunting joining a new club, especially if you don’t know anyone! However at Loreto we try and make that as easy as possible for you, we want you to get to know people, enjoy your hockey and make you feel as if you have always been a part of the club.

Below are a couple of steps that will help you ease your way into the club:

1. Get started by calling up to the club any Tuesday or Thursday and introduce yourself to anyone with a hockey stick in hand!! Or drop us a line on loretohockeyclub@gmail.com to let us know who you are and we can arrange for someone to meet you and introduce you to other members.

2. Introduce yourself to as many people as possible and participate in games, training and social nights out. Once members see you once they will recognise and you will start to make friends for life!

3. Members automatically receive all communication via email, including fixtures, newsletters, social nights out training and other club events. Our website is regularly updated and your team captain will contact you via text message to confirm your game. We also use our noticeboard in the club house to post all communication. Make sure committee members have your current email address and that you are getting emails, this is you responsibility!!

4. Complete the attached application form and email it to loretohockeyclub@gmail.com. You will receive an email note confirming receipt of application. Our club captain Orla Smith will get in touch with you – she will discuss your playing history and try and ascertain your playing ability in order to send you to the correct training session.

5. You will be required to pay your subscription to Loreto Hockey Club. This can paid by cheque, in cash or bank transfer. Emer Magee our treasurer will collect all subscriptions.

• Hockey stick
• Shin pads
• Mouth Guard
• Hockey Socks
• Astro Turf Runners
• Home Shirt ( White with wine logo)
• Home Socks (Wine & white)
• Home skirt (Wine TK skirt)
