Ladies 1sts into ISC Semi's

Loreto overcame Pembroke Wanderers on Saturday by a 4-1 margin to book a semi-final slot against reining Champs UCD. The scoreline probably glossed over the story of the tie, but Loreto did deserve their victory. Ali Meeke and Hannah Matthews had given the home side a very early lead but Sinead Loughran pulled one back on the stroke of half-time to get Pembroke back into the tie.

Both sides had further chances but as the fog thickly descended matters were wrapped up by Meeke and Nicci Daly in the last six minutes to give the scoreline a more comfortable look.

The girls Semi final match against UCD has been refixed from the original date as this date clashes with Ireland’s World Cup Qualifier in Chile . The game will now be played on January 16th.
