Congrats to Irish Womens team & thank you Inez!

Hi All,

Huge congratulations to the Irish Women’s Hockey team who claimed the bronze medal after beating Scotland on penalties yesterday in the FIH Campions Challenge. Loreto girls Niamh Small and Nikki Symmons were an integral part of the team, well done girls.

I am sure that many of us are aware of initiative proposed in order to raise funds to enable the Irish Men’s Hockey team to compete in the Champions Challenge in Argentina.

Accordingly it is fitting to note that our very own Inez Cooper is the brainchild behind this fantastic idea.
Well done Inez. We are all very proud of you and appreciate all your hard work not only for Loreto Hockey Club but also for all the work you do in order to promote hockey throughout Ireland.

It is a credit to the Irish Hockey Community to see the support they have given to the Men’s team particularly in the current economic climate.

If anyone would like to make a donation to this fundraiser you can do so by clicking here »

Alternatively you can buy a Mega draw ticket (€10) from your team Captain.

Sue Elliott
President

** Update – thanks to the generous Irish public the Men’s team will now travel to Argentina after in excess of 60k was donated to the team in the space of 4 days.
